What is Educational Blogging? To me, this means allowing teachers, students, faculty, parents or others to share their unique perspective about the something in the education system. Some benefits of blogging include increased self-expression, professional development, and sharing of resources and ideas. Blogs are a great resource because they allow for collaborative ideas between students, teachers, and parents.

I think that teachers often create these blogs to help inform other teachers and get ideas from different people as well. Blogs are a great resources for communication and sparking new ideas. Some challenges of blogging are the upkeep or maintaining a blog. Although it takes a lot of time and effort, blogs are becoming more popular and well known. Overall, I think that blogs are a great way for anyone that is a part of the education system to share what they have learned, and in turn, gain new knowledge.
From viewing my fellow classmates blogs, I have learned new information as well! In Morgan Boero's blog, she mentioned the importance of communication and contact in the classroom. I hadn't previously thought about how much of a role emotions play in the classroom and how COVID-19 has affected this. Another interesting perspective that I read in a blog was Rachel Kyle's post. The Arts are an important part of character development and expression. I think that incorporating arts in the classroom and having electives that emphasis the Arts are vital. It often times is a outlet for stress relief, place for self-expression, and gains in confidence and social skills. Lastly, in Jennie Seaman's blog I learned more about Special Education as a whole. Inclusivity is something that should be emphasized in the classroom, the school systems and the overall education system as a whole. Accessibility is also very important for all students. In summary, I have learned a multitude of information from viewing my classmates' blogs. These blogs are a great resource for new knowledge.
Personally, blogging for me has been a great journey! I have learned so much about technology and how to incorporate ideas and beliefs into an online platform to share with others. I would love to have a classroom blog as a teacher. I think the blog could be a great resource for my students and parents to see what is happening in the classroom and my ideas/philosophies on different topics as well. Additionally, I would love for my students to blog and update me on their progress in the classroom as well. Since I plan to be teaching younger children, I would have these students do a video blog (vlog). I think that it would be a way that they can easily communicate with me. I think blogs and vlogs are a great way for students to show growth and share their ideas and feedback in the classroom.
